Why hasn’t NSW ambulance chief been dismissed for endangering public?
The chief of NSW ambulance Dominic Morgan personally arranged for an ambulance to be dispatched to Dominic Perrottet’s home and transport his injured wife to hospital. By simply making the call, he risked endangering others by pushing them back in the queue.
Morgan had no right to make the call, it demonstrates an unreasonable lack of care for the well-being of the NSW public. The ambulance service is not for his personal use or to push a friend to the front of the queue, and risk endangering other members of the public.
In March 2023 it was reported that the chief of NSW Ambulance Dominic Morgan personally arranged for an ambulance to be dispatched to Dominic Perrottet’s home and transport his injured wife to hospital after speaking to the premier on the phone during a meeting with the state’s health minister.
It is irrelevant whether or not Perrottet's wife was pushed to the front of the queue, by making the call Morgan had to know there was the possibility that she would be given priority, which would push everyone else down the queue, putting them at risk.
Morgan had no right to make the call, it demonstrates an unreasonable lack of care for the well-being of the NSW public. The ambulance service is not for his personal use or to push a friend to the front of the queue or to risk endangering members of the public.
There is no question that Morgan should be dismissed. The only question is why wasn't he dismissed in March 2023?
